Situated 400 feet above the Missouri River, Montelle Winery offers visitors a spectacular view of the river valley, Village of Augusta, and the surrounding farmlands and vineyards. The winery, located in the first American wine district, sits on 20 acres atop Osage Ridge, approximately one and a half miles east of Augusta on Highway 94. The rich German heritage of this wine-growing region thrives in the magnificent wines produced by Montelle, which include European style dry and semi-dry red, white, and rosé wines. Amenities include free wine tasting, the Klondike Café, Sunset Dinners, Starbucks Coffee, and wireless internet access. Special events and free, live music are scheduled throughout the year. Montelle Winery is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with extended evening hours on Fridays until 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays until 10:00 p.m. from May to September.
